Upcoming Building Projects in Thailand
January 2011 - Nature Study Center in Khorat (Nakhon Ratchasima), Thailand

This month, DCF staff and vlounteers will construct a small Nature Center at Baan Nongtaloompook School just outside our home base of Khorat. The project is designed to teach the children about sustainable use of natural resources and how to build something themselves. The school will gain an open-air classroom to use for events and teaching students about nature and science.
Volunteers will make bricks for the project on January 15, and construction will take place on January 17-21. If you'd like to join us, please contact us.
We're currently trying to raise 20,000 THB for this project. If you'd like to make a donation, you'll find ways to do that here.
January-April 2011 - Sustainable Building Workshop Series, Across Thailand
Starting in January, 2011, the DCF is sending a team of engineers and local Thai staff to present a series of training workshops to promote sustainable building practices in Thailand. This team will arrive and train in January then take their program on the road for the following three months. They will connect with schools, communities, and other organizations interested in learning how to build easily for themselves, through a program combining theory, design work, and hands-on building.
